AIDA 2 – FREEDIVER
Certification: AIDA 2* Freediver.
Duration: 2.5 Days
Day 1: Knowledge Development, Static Apnea and Dynamic Apnea.
Day 2: Knowledge Development, Open Water Sessions and Exam.
Day 3: Open Water Session.
Prerequisites: Be 18 years of age or older (16/17 years with parent or guardian consent), provide a medical statement and be able to swim at least 200 metres non-stop without fins and at least 300 metres non-stop with mask, snorkel and fins.
Requirements: 2 minutes Static, 40 metres Dynamic with Fins, 16 metres constant weight and pass the theoretical exam.

The static and dynamic sessions in confined water are used to teach relaxation, breathing, finning and safety techniques. In the open water sessions students will apply the skills they have learned in the pool / confined water sessions and combine them with the basic skills of open water freediving such as equalizing, duck diving, vertical swimming, body positioning, turns and use of buoyancy.
he freediving theory will include: Introduction to Freediving, Freediving Breathing Cycle, Basic Physiology of Freediving, Equalization, Freediving Techniques, Safety in Freediving, Equipment in Freediving and Freediving Disciplines. After this course you can dive to a maximum depth of 20m with an independent buddy or professional guide.
