Academic
The Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Theoretical development (online, with self-study or in the classroom) – to understand the basic principles of immersion
- Confined water diving – to learn basic skills
- Open water diving – to use your skills and explore! Maximum depth 18 meters
Equipment
During the Open Water Diver program, you will learn to use basic equipment, including mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, variable trim vest and a cylinder. The equipment you will use will be different depending on whether you dive in tropical, temperate or cold waters.
